Resume

Sarah graduated in May 2024 from Walsh University. She has studied various topics in history, art history, and museum studies. She has had various courses on these topics, and has completed an internship, a practicum, two exhibitions, and more. Below is more information about her experiences, and her resume is attached. 

Education

Walsh University

August 2020- May 2024

Sarah is currently a student at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. She is expected to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Museum Studies and two minors in history and art history. She has been inducted into Alpha Nu Sigma, the Walsh University chapter of the national honor society for students of history, Phi Alpha Theta.

Behringer Crawford Museum
October 2017- Present
 

Sarah has done a wide range of things at the Behringer Crawford Museum, including working events, helping with education programs, working in visitor services, and working in the collections and on exhibitions. During the Summer 2022, she completed an internship at the museum, where she did extensive research on the Northern Kentucky gambling culture, helped with exhibits, and helped with various tasks in collections. At other points during her time there, she has gained experience in collections organization and cataloging, exhibitions, research and much more. Overall, her time at the Behringer Crawford Museum has proved vital experience on many areas of museums and many skills.

Hoover Historical Center, Practicum
October 2021- December 2021

Sarah has additionally gained experience during her Public History Practicum at the Hoover Historical Center at Walsh University. During this experience, she learned much about the day to day realities of historic house museums and did various activities as part of this, including using PastPerfect, creating social media marketing posts, and learning about security.

Walsh University's "Art From the Heart" Exhibition Design Team
March 2021- April 2021

Sarah also participated in an exhibition design course with a team of students. Together, they learned the various elements of an art exhibit, including jurying the pieces, matting artworks, marketing, and installation. 

The Divine Comedy as Represented by Amos Nattini
August 2022- December 2022

Sarah did a solo exhibition of artworks by Amos Nattini depicting scenes from the Inferno from the Divine Comedy by Dante Aligerhi. As part of this exhibit, she curated the pieces for the exhibit, designed the layout of the exhibit, wrote the panels and labels, created the marketing materials, installed the exhibit, held the opening reception, and deinstalled the exhibit. From this experience, she learned much about exhibitions and gained vast experience in exhibition design, professional writing and speaking, and marketing.
