Experiences
Sarah gained several different experiences as a part of this course. She helped decorate and prepare for the annual "Christmas on Hoover Farm", helping to choose Christmas covers of the Hoover Company's newsletter that would be put on display and otherwise setting up various Christmas decor. Another key part of this class was weekly readings and discussions about important issues museums face. These topics included security issues, diversity, the handling of artifacts, and a debate on the pros and cons of historic house museums. Sarah also did a project to learn how to market on social media using collections objects. She chose three objects to highlight and wrote a caption to go along. Attached below is this assignment.
